About Twiddeo

Twiddeo was first created as a proof-of-concept mash-up between the Twitter API and vSocial's Social Media API. After recieving some great feedback from our users, we decided that it would be worthwhile to redevelop the UI, integrate some new features and really make it look spiffy.

What Powers Twiddeo?

Glad you asked! Twiddeo has 4 main components:

  1. Twitter -- As the new communications platform, it only makes sense that we'd put this at the core of an app like this.
  2. The vSocial Social Media API -- Utilizing the best platform for building social applications (and, specifically, the best promotions online!) we were able to extremely rapidly develop and roll-out the integrated back-end.
  3. The vSocial Media Player -- Our extraordinarily powerful Media Player allowed us to completely customize the look and feel of the player (including Twitter avatars) and video capture app without touching a line of ActionScript or open flash. All XML, baby.
  4. The Disqus Commenting System -- Disqus allowed us to tap into the online conversation in another, complimentary way. Although we have a very powerful, integrated commenting system in the vSocial Social Media API, Disqus is more in tune with the openness and accessability of the app we've tried (and still do!) to build.

Who Made Twiddeo?

Three handsome devils from vSocial!

Jonathan Apostoles View djayc's twiddeos - vSocial's Head of Development was the project lead and back-end developer.

Mike Luby View prob1em's twiddeos - vSocial's Sr. Flash Developer implemented the vSocial Media Player, as well as the UI redesign.

Brad Webb View djayc's twiddeos - vSocial's CTO looked pretty and used big words like synergy and strategic.
